The Scoundrels are a country rock band from Texas with an irreverent attitude toward life and politics. Prolific songwriter, actor, and poet Tom Ash writes the material, and legendary producer John Inmon captures the raucous sound in the studio. The musical roots are in the classic melding of country and rock. Influences include Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and JJ Cale. The Scoundrels from Texas were aptly named by their Granny. Their hope is to get you to dance, laugh, and think.
